try to snatch up a 98 rear bumper so you can get the "Cobra" on the ass as well. Looks clean tho. We need to get a group pic together of all the 94-98 cobras here. That would be sick.
are your rims 18's? [ July 27, 2009, 07:11 PM: Message edited by: N8 ]

How many of you 94-95 GT/Cobra owners have pinging problems at WOT?
Everyone I have known who has owned a 94-95 has had these headaches.
My 94GT pinged like a SOB, even with 91 octane. And the 95 Cobra I test-drove before getting my 96 Cobra, pinged even worse.

Mine only has that problem, when i use the lowest grade of gas (am/pm) when i use chevron or shell it doesn't ping one bit.

Mine doesnt have that issue. But I do always use high grade gas in it. But I do have a freakin mini exhaust leak that is irritating. but I hate doing ex mani gaskets.

My 1995 GTS, about 11 yrs ago had TFS Heads, cam and upper/lower intake. 4.10's and full exaust. It ran like crap, but at the time I didn't know about dyno tunning and the miracles a good tuner can produce. I recommend you get a good dyno tune after the head and intake mod; otherwise you will find yourself wondering what went wrong.
Note: Aftermarket valve covers; which are sometimes required by switching heads might not clear or fit perfectly. In my Mustang with TFS heads and fox body valve covers I had the roller rockers hitting the inside of the covers and the on the outside the alternator would get in the way. A bit of dremel work to the inside corner of the valve cover and the corner on the alternator solve all the fit issues.
Good Luck, bigchelis

Mine does too, mostly on hard acceleration, but I notice it even if i'm more than half way on the throttle. I've been using Chevron or 76 91 octane. I've backed down on the timing also.
Has anyone done something to cure this? aside from dyno- which I heard sometime ago also, might do some miracles

Hey! Nice Cobra. Looks like Rio Red w/ black interior. Best color combo offered on a 94/95. Drop it in the weeds and your tires will fit the wheelwells better and improve the overall looks. I have a million parts for mine but the 94/95 computer always stalls me from starting the mods. Mine pings as well. Maybe one of the "Tuners" on the Forum can chime in on what can be done with the computer limitations. Congrats and have fun with your SVT.
