I received a "subpoena" today and am: "hereby commanded to appear before the superior court in an for the county of sonoma as a witness for the prosecution in the above-entitled action
It's for peo. v. Judyth Delgadillo
Is that a normal jury duty thing (never been summoned?) or something different? Anyone got any dirt on that person listed?

A subpoena is totally different from jury duty. You must have crossed paths with this person. Have you witness an accident or ever worked for the same company as this person. If you don't show when you are subpoena they usually will issue a bench warrant. Have you googeled the name or case number?

That isn't jury duty, you were called as a witness. Call the District Attorney and they can give you the details.

Not "Snitching" is obstruction of justice. You must show up where ever they ask you to be. Any time its People VS. its a criminal case. So you should have probably heard of the person named on the case, or you may have a common name that received the subpoena in error. Jury duty is more fucked up than being a witness, i just had 6 weeks of that shit and it was pretty lame.

LOL, Jury Duty is a Damn Joke! I went 1 time 12 years ago, told them I was racist, witch I am not and they dismissed me. over the last 10 years I have received jury duty 5 -6 times never opened it threw it staight in the trash. I have been pulled over gotten tickets. Nothing has ever happened. With all of the people on unemployment you think they would pull those names from a hat so they can earn that free check! ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

For real. I'm 25 and I've been summoned every year since I was 18. That's minimum 8 summons. In fact I have one for the end of this monthh. Duty or not I'm always busy with work and have never gone to one. I've been pulled over numerous times and gone to court for tickets and never has it come up. No offense jury duty is a joke especially if you make a decent wage. I make more working than jury duty would pay. Jmo

Yeah, I was getting them all the time for a while. I would just call and tell them I don't live in Placer county and give them my old address where my Ex lived, if I got one for Sacramento county I'd just call and tell them I lived in Placer. jury duty is what democracy is all about. if you've got time and dont mind getting 15 bucks a day, its pretty cool. being a witness can be a bit of bullshit, because these scumbag lawyers will ask you the same question 5 different ways to try to make you slip up.
