I need to purchase cats for a Toyota Tacoma which are infamous because they contained platinum. Anyone know where we purchase a set of carb legal cats in the Sac area and have them done at? Toyota wanted an insane amount for them and it was special order. I could get a set of custom kooks and SS bassaini mid and catback for the price of just the midpipe/cats from Toyota.

Do a search on eBay to see if you can find them on there. They have these little cats that don't look anything like a cat, its a high flow stainless one that you could weld in. I'd just leave the stock one in and put one of those in front of it. My dad's 740 was failing bad, I threw a pair of those in right in front of the stock ones and it passed super clean.

It's time for the country to do what Obama's own father did. Abandon him.

Just because I work for an exhaust shop, I know for a fact that you cannot add another cat in addition to what's already on the vehicle, before ya sure, you probably can get away with it, I doubt techs and shop owners are brave enough or have enough money for fines to do that for anyone.
If you can't find any, pm me, we install them all the time at work, but I must tell you, they are not cheap, even at shop's cost price.
