I am thinking about putting a roll up door on my garage opposite the main garage door. Having a slab of concrete poured in the back, and thought it would be cool to work on my car in the back and drive straight through. It requires a wall to be removed and a window moved. Wanna get some ideas on the challenges or pricing to do something like this.

that's sick, I'd do it, don't forget you can get a lift installed for about 1500$ cash, something to keep in mind when you wanna take the next step as a gearhead. good luck on this project.

When I was house hunting I saw a foreclosed home in Hayward that had exactly what you want. I loved the idea, but the way it was done didnt look promising. Since you're going to knock out a complete wall, that means the foundation has to be removed on one whole wall. If you have a 2-story house like the one I saw, it will cause structural degradation. Just make sure whoever does it knows how to re-secure that side of your house because you don't want the roof crashing down on you!

Exactly the things I am worried about. My house is one story. The wall doesnt seem to be load bearing but wth do I know.

N8 my neighbor did it but he's not into cars. His house is a two story and I'm jealous of it myself because it has a lot of options with that extra access. I'd do it N8 as long as you can comfortably afford it. Also, if you ever want to sell the house, you know that would be a huge selling point for any car guy. Hell that alone could sell the house
