Tonight i was reminded that no matter how many times you do something, no matter how good of a driver you think you are, theres always room for error...

Tonight id been drinking beer at the bar with a friend for a few hours, not getting hammered let alone tipsy by any chance. Got a phone call from a friend saying an Ex was bothering her at a party and wanted me to show up. No issue, no rush, just drive there.
Ok so i leave the bar and hit a freeway on ramp ive hit 100s of times, its a tight right turn, says 35 but you can hit it faster (who doesnt). Well dont know if it was too fast or an error in judgement but i lost it (so to speak) and my tail came around.
Before i knew it i was spinning with my front coming back around but with too much speed that the spin was going to continue, tried to correct/force it into a 720 to come around again but ended up sideways kind of at a 630 degree. Almost [Frown] Though i didnt complete the spin as hoped, i did keep the car off the concrete rails and remained unharmed.
Error in my judgement lead to a test of my skill. Though not 100% perfect, still resulted in a positive outcome. Point being, lots of people claim how good they are; be safe, one day your skill might just be tested. [patriot] be safe all.

glad to hear you made out ok [patriot] A few months ago my skills were tested too in the rain...It was a 90 degree right hand turn in an open area. I wanted to see if the MM suspension could handle what I was going throw at it. Unfortunately, I guess my driving wasn;t good enough and I gave it too much speed and ended up doing a 180 [Razz] I dont think it was MM's fault this time though [Big Grin]

Yep, I looped my Bimmer and went through a 4x4 sign post a couple months ago. I was driving too fast and hit a bad section of road that upset the rear end. Its a shitty feeling to know your a good driver but to loose control like that isn't fun.

I've spun out my '89 Yota on an off-ramp, hydroplaned my old stang, flipped in an Ex's '01 Prelude, rear ended/hit a couple bumpers in various cars, etc.

It's scary but as long as you are not paralyzed dust em off and laugh about it later...

Yes you guys and myself have somehow survived... but while you are doing your shenanigans remember you are sharing the road with other people.

No I didn't beat the guy down. He bugged out when she told him is was on the way lol. Blown, I was in my 4 pot fwd. Made interesting to say the least. And to the last replyer safety is always a priority, thankfully it was late enough no one was around and I had ample time and space. Just a post reminding everyone to be safe. Even the best make errors [Razz]
