Well, as many of you know I've been on a hunt for a Cobra since I sold my Saleen. I was undecided whether I wanted a 94-95 0r 96-98, but I knew I wanted an SN95. So today I checked one out and picked it up for a pretty good deal.
Its a 95 so I have the infamous 5.0 engine that I can easily mod. It has black leather interior and SUPER CLEAN original white paint. No dents or scratches anywhere...I was pretty amazed The guy I bought it from was in his 50's
The motor is all stock with a Fluidyne radiator. Has magnaflow catback, Bassani X-pipe, and all 4 cats still intact. Hss Brembo drilled/slotted rotors on all 4 corners and real Ford Racing FR500's.
What really caught my attention was that it had a lot of good suspension mods that I planned to do anyways. He brought the car to Maximum Motorsports in So Cal and told them "he wanted the car to handle." So they installed lowering springs (not sure of brand but they're blue), Bilstein shocks/struts, CC plates, LCA's, Subframe connectors, larger front sway bar, and a close ratio steering rack...these are the things that I can see, but I'm sure I'll find more goodies when I lift it up.
The car rails and thats what I'm trying to get into...open track and AutoX
Well, here she is...hope you like it. My plans are to hopefully soon do a full H/C/I setup. Also want to do some exterior mods...maybe change the rims, paint the tail light bezels black, put a Saleen spoiler, possibly SVO side exhaust, and 96-98 hood.
(sorry for shitty pics...camera phone)

Very nice man!!! Congrats!
Car looks great, but keep the tailpipes though, PLEASE!!! Black tailight bezels would look sweet along with painting the lower valance black & maybe some deep dish rear wheels.... Sounds like you got what you wanted too.... Did you get rid of all the other suspension goodies you had saved though, because they will fit that car as well?

Thanks Dustin...yea it was babied by the previous owner. He kept it at a storage warehouse along with a couple other toys, some bikes, and 3 mobile homes The guy was filthy...filthy rich it seemed. Anyway, yea I agree with you on the lower rear valance...I had that thought as well, just didnt think of noting it while I was typing
As for my Griggs suspension stuff, yea I sold it. This car has all MM parts, so i'll stick to the theme and finish it off with whatever else it needs

ian congrats on the new toy...if you do plan on getting a s281 spoiler and want to keep the 3rd brake light, you'll need to swap trunk lids with a gt or v6, which has the 3rd brake light on the trunk lid rather than the spoiler like the 94/95 cobras. also, i would go with a 96-98 rear bumper. You're right...I never realized that the 3rd brake light was on the trunk lid on my Saleen, or was it
If I do go with the Saleen wing I might just leave the 3rd light off...dont want to swap the whole trunk. And I agree with you on the rear bumper...I like the "COBRA" bumper better. If I can find one I'll get it

I totally disagree with the spoiler. I dig the LED third brake light on those 94-95's...just my 02. Once again looks very nice! However, was the car repainted because the side mirrors are painted white? Nice ride

Thanks for the comments guys. I thought it was repainted too because the paint was so clean but it wasn't. The mirrors were painted when the side scoops were painted. That's all that was painted.
As for the wing I used to hate the 94-95 cobra wings butniys kind of growing on me now. I'm gonna see how it looks with a 96-98 cobra hood and decide from there, but most likely I'll be making the switch to an s281 wing.

no, it wasn't me you told about the car but I've been in contact with him since last week and finally got off my ass today to go check it out. Jay is definitely a cool dude! I wish he knew everything he had on the car so he could tell me, but it seems he just dropped off the car maximum Motorsports one day and just forked out some cash hahaha. I love how the thing handles!

Congrats, how many miles on it? I dig the looks of the car overall but just can't get with the side scoops. Can those be removed without messing up the paint or whatever? Either way, I think the s281 wing would look pretty sweet and I agree with the guys saying black out the rear valence.

It has a bit over 140k on it, but it runs tits The guy really maintained it well. Yea, the scoops aren't my first choice of cosmetic mods, but they actually dont look bad in person. They flow with the car pretty well. I think they'll look better with the 96-98 cobra hood because the scoops will match. I could remove them, but they're pretty stuck on there and they really dont bother me

Yea there's definitely something comforting about meeting up with a guy to look at a car, then find out he's like 50 years old with the original window sticker, etc. I remember when I bought my white 95 I paid more just because of the peace of mind that I got from buying it from the original owner. Alright, congrats on the nice car again.

Yup, VERY comforting to buy it from this guy. Older, mature, and had money to spend on "good" parts. Thanks man
