I switched from Comcast to DTV 2 years ago and haven't regretted it since.

I like the comcast ondemand selection! The only thing I don't like is that while watch tv shows, the screen freezes!

Check the avialbility of uverse in your area. I know it is not offered in my area or I would go that route. But it is offered on the other side of town.

I work for Comcast so my opinion is bi-est, but Comcast is better. On Demand is the shit too.
However, I also have Directv for the NFL ticket (gotta watch them Cowboys). If your a big NFL fan then get Directv. I get my Comcast service free thats why I have both.

Anything but Comcast. Their technical problems/cust. service department is horrible!
Horror stories aside, AT&T has been doing it for 140 years compared to Comcast doing it for 3-4 years..

^^^^^^^ lol
I have had Comcast for about 10 years now (back when it was TCI, then Viacom, then AT&T then Comcast)
Have never had a problem and I have had it at 5 different addresses.
Wait...I did have a problem one time when a storm knocked down a branch and took out the cable line...that does count and it was fixed inside 24 hours.

I have Dish Network and it is ok. I have had comcast before and had no complaints either. I have no experience with Direct TV other than the damn flyers they keep sending me. I think you should also look at the HD DVR boxes that the companies offer. I know Dish Network is suppose to have one of the best ones offered. I can't live without my DVR now.

What channels do the Free to air dishes give you? I've always been interested in em but never had a clue how they work. My place has cable with the HOA's and it fucking rocks. I can flip through the channels without waiting for the stupid menu to pop up.

I say Comcast because its very cheap for the first 6 months & if you like it keep it if not change it!!! That way you get to make your own decision!! Because this thread has mixed opinions all the way across it!! [ December 04, 2008, 09:37 PM: Message edited by: SPIDER_STANG ]

I had comcast for a year, nothing but problems. they had to come out multiple times and all the repair guys never knew what they were doing and were always late. They charged me $160 for my package. Im getting the same stuff +more with AT&T and it only costs me $99. I only had to have them out once but that was the fault of the apartment complex. The guy knew his shit about tech too [ December 04, 2008, 10:23 PM: Message edited by: 86BackInBlack ]
