Topic: Humboldt area camping?

Hey Im looking for a place to camp around humboldt, trinity county areas. Preferably not realy patrolled by the man. Also trying to find something near a river- I was thinking the eel river. A place where we can have fun without getting in trouble for something stupid. Gun friendly is also good. Any cool spots are much appreciated. We will have 4wd and 33's if that will matter ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Not sure about any specific places, but I will say its nice up there. Whatever you do though, be careful out there because u gotta worry about alot more than just "THE MAN" if u end up in the wrong place...

don't have to worry about that yet, not till like june, just stay away from buildings.

Alot of it is all year long up there, not just seasonal...

...........As great as it is nobody knows of any cool spots. I have the idea to head up 101 to the eel river and just find a nice spot...

Theres a place called Elk's Crossing about 45 minutes north of Arcata. I camped up there about 5 years back and it was a pretty nice area. Not near a river though, the ocean and a beach with black/dark sand is within walking distance and it was really nice. Hope you have fun up there
