Thinking of getting a 03-04 cobra and i am going to sell my 89 5.0....i want to knw what you guys think...to the people that have 03 cobra's let me knw how it is having one.. like how are the payments and i am also thinking of a Mach 1.. or if any one is willing to trade for my car.. i will take over payments ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

you can get an 03-04 cobra at a dealer for 24ish-33k payments will be roughly 450 for 24k at like 6-7 percent intrest for 72 months.....

Do a compression test before buying.
Excellent compression (with a good quality guage) should be 170+psi
Acceptable compression is ~150+
Anything lower & you're looking at worn valve guides at a bare minimum.
If any cylinder is under 100....it needs a motor NOW.
Aftermarket cams will read ~25-30psi lower.

That one was a piece of shit, You should be glad you did not get it. It still had a stock maf on it and stock injectors. It also had the old style Kenne Bell on it with the catch can on the side. My friend has a pretty clean one for sale for around 25k if you are interested.

Check SVTPERFORMANCE.com they have quite a few for sale at any given time. I seen a pretty nice one with a KENNEBELL and shit load of other mods that was going for 28k and looked SUPER CLEAN and well taken care of. It was Mineral Grey or DSG.

unless your like me & u like Mach 1's for what they are..yeah they might not have as much potential as the 03-04 Cobra, but They are much rarer & nothin beats the shaker scoop & the interior IMO. If all u wanna do is go stupid fast, than get the Cobra...Mach 1's are no slouch for an N/A car though....Mach 1's also have a solid axle which Cobra's dont. This can be considered good or bad depending on how u look at it....
Plus you can get a nice Mach for ALOT less money than an 03-04 Cobra....Most likely about 5-7k less than a Cobra....

Most of the Cobras on that website that are cheaper than around here are out of state. Once you factor in either flying out to get the car and driving it back or flying out to take a look at it and having it shipped to your house, You really are not saving much money. in fact more often than not you end up spending just as much if not more. The best thing to do is to try and find a reasonably priced one here in CA if at all posible work out a deal and drive away happy

I wish I can have both but I just want one car and not worry bout the other one... I wouldn't mind a shelby but its to much I have seen a lot of mach 1 and not so many cobras I did find one crazy ass GT for 11
