Does anyone know any good personal Trainers? Since i have met my wife i have gained alot of weight and it is time to loose it again. I just cant seem to motivate myself to go to the gym. Bad thing is I HAVE 3 GYM MEMBERSHIPS lol I am in Concord Pleasant hill area. Or even some one who works out that needs a work out partner. I just need the motivation LOL [ February 06, 2008, 01:59 PM: Message edited by: Cm4hawks ]

hard part is not so much going to the gym, but watching what you eat. Start off by conscientiously eating "better"(for lack a better word, don't wanna say healthy since i don't know your particular situation), running and building muscle. Good luck.

if it's subway over mcdonals or some other junk food then it was a decent choice. going for the lesser of the evils could help him get started. Remember, the only thing that will burn fat is commitment.

I had a personal trainer when i started going to the gym couple of months of ago and he told the way to lose weight is 60% has to do with your diet, 30% weights resistance, 10% cardio. So whenever u hit the gym do a lot weights but go light to be able to do more reps, then after do some cardio. It has work for me. I went from 220 to 180 and gain about 8 pounds of muscle and still growing

What i learned from being a personal trainer is that every trainer has a different opinion on what works. You need to do what you think will work for your body. I LOVED lifting before getting into fire. I weight 226lbs going in, with maybe 13% bodyfat, i ended the 2007 fire season weight 198lbs with like 4% bodyfat. My captain was totally against us lifting, we could only do pushups, situps, and working with that big ball. All we really did though was run 5 to 8 miles everyday. The only time i ate pretty good was if i was on a fire assignment in fire camp. So far i've been running/cardio for the past 2 weeks and i've already seen some good results. I've gained 12lbs since fire season ended so i want to start the 2008 fire season at 200lbs again. So figure out what works for you, Cardio helps a lot, dieting helps a lot but also having a lot of muscle mass helps you burn the fat quicker so definitely lift as well.

the hardest part of dieting is keeping it off.I went from 285 to 220 last year but am back up to 270 now.You got to be locked in mentally.Losing weight takes so much hard work, and to gain it back sucks ass.
