Topic: TOWING DAMAGE!

I know 2 different people that had their cars damaged by tow companies and they both claimed the damage was already there. I got involved and went down to talk to the owners in both cases showing exactly where the damage matched the contact points on the truck, they still wouldn't do anything. Its tough to prove they did it. Did you hire them to tow the vehicle or were they called to tow it away by the cops?

well acutally i had sjpd toy my car few years bac.the back stock bumper was already fucked..and tha car was lowered...so when the towtruck got there they were goin to put it on the end of the flat bed..i told em not to bla bla and it goin to hit..they did it anyway...right as they left the parkin lot the back bumper dragged a lil and i told the officer rite there to rite it down..cuz when they tow cars they supposed to look it over..the cop said tha car was clean..to make it short now i took them to court and got almost 4k from it..

+1 the tow company is supposed to inspect it before towing and make a note of any defects, providing you with a copy, take em to court.

Thats only if your there to get the paper from them. If the owner of the car isn't around they'll unload it and do a damage report most likely. Good luck getting anything from them but if you don't drop the issue they might give you something.

ya..took them to court they never showed i got all damage money and tow money plus a lil more:)
