I have a weiand 177 on a chevy small block, which is very similar. Runs like stock, awesome big block like torque the 170 series are good for up to about 10-12 psi. You can expect a 150hp gain if setup right. It all depends on cubes and cams and heads though.

Really depends what you are gonna do with it. They are more of a low to mid range rpm blower, great for the street. There is a guy running 9's with one on a 383. So I won't say they aren't good for the track if you want to go fast but I ain't gonna lie a centrefugal blower or a turbo is go be significantly more efficient. Nohing beats the low end torque of the roots though, great for a heavy car like my velle.

This would be a bad ass setup on an old school car I am assuming you are going carb? If so this would make running a centerfugal blower more difficult. Althogh Paxton and Vortech (I think) both make kits for carb'd setups

I already got my blow thru carb. quick an easiest would be a blower just mount an go. but ultimate goal is single turbo an call it a day.
