PLEASE DONT BE STUPID OR A SMART ASS THIS IS A FRIENDS FRIEND WHO LOST THEIR BROTHER TO SUICIDE AND IS DOING THIS TO HELP PREVENT OTHERS FROM THEIR PAIN OR TAKING THEIR LIVES I JUST WANTED TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE ON HERE THAT MIGHT BE INTERESTED OR KNOW SOMEONE COULD BE A GOOD SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR PEOPLE [patriot]

I along with my mom & sister will be joining with thousands of people nationwide this fall walking in AFSP's Out of the Darkness Community Walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

I've started Team Alex & My personal fundraising goal is $500.00. I along with my mom & sister will be walking on September 29th @ Crissy Field in San Francisco & would appreciate any support that you have to give for this worthwhile cause.

3yrs. ago my Twin Brother Alex lost his life to suicide. To lose someone to suicide is really so devastating. You are left with so many unanswered questions and the Why factors..... why he did it.... why didn't he leave a note.... why was his pain so great.... No one knows 100% of the reasons behind his decision to take his own life. These are things we will never know. This has been one of the hardest and most devastating things I ever had to go through.... My life along with the lives of my sister and mom have been changed forever. Alex was the kind of guy that was rough on the outside but very sweet, loving, big hearted and so sensitive on the inside....... Alex wanted to be a chef & he loved his kids more than himself. He wanted nothing more than to just have his family...... Alex was silly & loved to make people smile. He had a face that would make your heart melt & when you looked at him you could feel the warmth that he had in his heart. Alex hated when the people he loved fought.... and when they did he was always there to resolve it. Alex hated to be by himself (I guess that's where i get it from). Alex loved to watch movies.... he loved to spend time with his kids, family and friends. Alex became a christian & liked going to chruch with me on Sunday mornings. Alex liked to go out with friends & party..... he liked listening to rap music mostly but he also liked alternative, country, R&B. Alex liked to be yelled at by mom.... it may sound weird but he loved it & couldnt go a day without hearing her yell at him. Alex was funny & he had a great sense of humor. He loved to play jokes on people...... He would call me or my sister & mom pretending to be someone else. He also loved to wait at the end of the hall way...... anywhere for that matter and scare people. Not only was Alex my big brother...... he was also my TWIN, my best friend, my protector, my companion and my life. I would have given my own life to take the pain away from Alex....... Now more than ever I want to try and help save lives and save families from this enormous pain. I was not able to save Alex but just knowing that I can help save another family or maybe someone else from this terrrible pain than I know it's all worth it and Alex's memory will be kept alive......

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 30,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.

I hope you will consider supporting my participation in this event. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP. Checks should be made payable to AFSP and are 100% tax deductible.

Thank you for considering this request for your support. If you have any questions about the Out of the Darkness Community Walks or AFSP please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Michelle and Torres Family
