DO NOT BUY OR TAKE YOUR TRUCK OT HANLEES CHEVROLET IN DAVIS!!!

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FRIEND WHEN HE TOOK HIS NEW TRAILBLAZER IN FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION

[quote="slocobra"] Cliff notes:

Transmission blew up (fuck you chris....lol)
Took it to Hanlees chevrolet in Davis to have it fixed
Mechanic claimed he could not get the exhaust crossover off
he then decided it was eaiser to cut out a section of the frame that braces the front K-member because it makes it easier to get exhaust out (because its better to cut the fucking frame then the exhaust  )
he then welded my frame back together and tried to cover it with undercoating.

Service manager DID tell me about it before I picked it up, so its not like magament tried to hide it, just the mechanic.

So now, in my mind they just bought it. its less than 6 minths old!! They are wanting to put an entire new frame under it, I told them fucking no way it would never be the same. I told them to get me another truck, but since its a 06 and they only have 07's on lots now they won't do anything like that. We half way agreed they would buy it, he is gong to get back to me tomorrow with details. I think they should pay me every last cent I paid for it since they fucked up, but others say all they have to do is give me fair market value for it. WTF??? I don't see how them fucking up should cost me any money. If nothing else I have made 6 months of payments.

Maybe dave will jump in here, but my understanding is a frame can't be cut and welded on it has to be replaced if its damaged. I am still in shock that this fuckstick was that dumb..............

Tell them they'd be lucky if you took an 07 model...You were emotionally attached to your 06 now there is no way you want it back because cutting the frame compromises safety...And WHO KNOWS what else they'd fuck up if they tried replacing the frame with a new one...For your inconvinience they should be offering you a C6 Corvette and they're lucky you're not taking them to court and SUEING their ass for knowingly compromising the safety of your vehicle and letting you drive away like that....You should tell them that market value won't do either, since now it's a salvage/lemon title and it ain't worth shit....lol

Even if I'm right or wrong I think that's what I would say....

GOOD LUCK! [patriot]

Have him call 7 on your side...they'll be all over it and will actually go down there to do a news story about what's going on.

The airbag in our expedition blew up in our driveway for no reason and they wanted to go down to Ford with us Bad.

I think he's going to have to now...

he went there today....

and they basically told him to go fuck himself...they can't do anything for him because the repair is safe...

he should seriously consider contacting a local new station, they should have something like 7-on your side, and let them try to help to get a new tbss w/o coming out of the pocket. i'm sure they can put more pressure on the dealer to do the right thing than most of us can.

i mean isn't cutting the frame and welding it back just as bad as getting in an accident and destroying the frame. it should be salvaged.

Call BAR, any GM customer service 1-800 number you can, and a lawyer. By the time whoever is handling this for you at Hanless gets phone calls from all of the above they will give in. They should buy your vehicle back for whatever you owe, if you owe more that it's worth. The service department needs to eat that Trailblazer, and $25k + is a big bite for a service department. But seriously, get a lawyer.
