Topic: Research Paper - Need a little help

I am doing a research paper on California Gun Laws, i have all the information i need but the professor wants us to write up a bunch of questions that our paper should answer. I could only think of a couple and i am wondering if any of you have any questions that you'd like answered?

we could give you random questions, but which way is your paper going? what will your thesis be? what about gun laws? i mean.. unless it's a 50 page paper or more you'll probably have to narrow down the scope of your investigation.
i'm sure this would help us guide you..

Its a 16-20 page paper and i want to prove that California Gun Laws are too strict and don't help protect the citizens.

you could start off by stating common misconceptions.. the whole Gun's don't kill people, people kill people. analyzing.
I would want to know what changes have been made since the enactment of the new laws. Are the new laws working or just restricting our liberty to select what weapons we want. what about monetary implications? how much are these laws costing us?. Are the restricted weapons still readily available in the black market? if so, what are we doing to stop it.
How are this restrictions affecting you?(since you seem to be an avid gun owner)

I am guessing the last questions is for me personally, it affects me cause i would like to get an M4 or an M16

My uncle and i were just discussing gun laws and restrictions to owning one.
I'm in the market to pick up my liscence and a nice handgun (9mm).
Our ? was...... is it legal for an immigrant who is waiting for his papers to finalize to have a liscence to own a gun in the USA ![[Confused]](confused.gif)
And what are the restrictions for owning a gun here anyway?

What do you mean immigrant waiting for his papers to finalize? someone waiting for become a permanent resident or someone waiting for a citizenship?
I thought you needed to be a citizen to have a gun permit....

I believe you have to be a legal citizen to own a gun

It only mentioned illegal aliens so i am not sure. I will keep looking for the answer.

Yeah the CCW permit is the permit to carry a concealed weapon except in airports and schools you have the right to carry. If i get a handgun i may get this permit.
