Topic: Who went crusing down Sunrise tonight?

I pulled out of Olive Garden tonight at 10:15 and pulled up to the light at Sunrise and Madison and a yellow GT pulled up next to me w/ a couple other Stangs and 03' Cobras. Anyways Dude in the yellow GT kept trying to get me to go, and I finally could not resist myself and dropped it down to second and we both took off for about a half second until my girlfriend slapped the shit out of me! It was pretty funny though, I wish I could have stayed out and played. I can not wait for the next meet.

Your lucky that it was only your girlfriend that slapped the shit out of you and not a CHP. Sunrise is not a good place to play at all and I'm sure the last place you want to see your car is on the back of a towtruck.

I'm 27 years old and hate to say it but kids imitate the music, it's them damn rappers, growing up all I listened to was rap music and pretty much it's all I still listen to, but kids nowadays can't seem to think for themselves and imitate this "go dumb" and "hyphy" shit, it's really sad that this is what the bay area has turned into, it should not be a way of life but hey it is what it is.

Hot august nights is GHETTO!!! I went the year before last, if you stay on the strip all it is is people from the "bay area" getting loud and dumb. There were 50 people mobs yelling oakland this and other stuff I didnt understand. I saw a guy and girl trying to walk through a crowd and the girl was groped like no tomorrow. The guy couldnt do anything but cover her and push through.

Last year they were poppin off gun shots ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif) I won't even go into reno at night this year. You can tell the effect its causeing when there is only like 8 cars in the main cruise and they all have this look on there face like they are lost in oakland.

What happened to the good ol' days of just hitting some donuts and doing some burnouts? Hot Auguest Nights should be about the cars not who can beat the shit out of everyone else. Even when ppl on this site get together it tends to be clicky and groups. Everyone should just be down to enjoy the cars or stay at home. Now ppl got go dumb and get ran over by there own cars and fight everybody!

That works for me to. Just being around cars and enjoying them is what it's about for me; if that means dragging, hitting donuts, and doing burnouts then Im down. But the hyphy movement to me is ppl "THIZZ'N", ghost ridding whip, trying to start fights, and just getting stupid.

What happened to doing donuts and streetracing off in industial areas with very little spectators and nut sacks tagging along?
Its the spectators and racing on populated streets that is the problem.

Yea I must say the hyphy movement fucked off alot of my kickin it. The sideshow used to be my favorite passtime. I was pro with doing figure 8's while droppin the top. But thats not the problem. Its the asses trying to dance on cars and getting out while its moving. I had to drop my cousin off on 86th and Bancroft one day on a friday after clubs let out. Needless to say I was rollin dirty harry style. The shit is crazy out there now. My homeboy 50deep was tellin me the other day that Sac is the exact opposite. The police roll on anyone with 50. If I lived in sac I would be driving a import or a sedan of some sort.

I really miss it to, I remember when everyone would go out and everyone would meet out at In&Out by 50 and cruise down to Krispy Kream and park in the parking lot of Club Aqua and kick it. Now its just a few ppl here and there. The police really cracked down out there, but somehow all the lowriders go out and chill in Lowes. Where else is like Sunrise where people will cruise?

Yeah the sideshow's are turning more into Iraq out there.. Whenever sideshows go down in Sac, at least 2-3 people end up getting shot for either "wrong colors, wrong hood or wrong looks".. 2005 was the year for sideshows in Sactown .. I dont know I think pretty much it doesnt matter what you dirve, if your just crusing, not drawing attention to yourself and and keeping it low key a cop isnt going to waste their time. I've never had a problem with a cop for doing something legal, and when I have gotten caught doing something wrong they always give me a reality check but then let me go with a warning! IDK?

I've never had any problems with my Mustang and police. I've never rolled down my windows driving by them or anything in Sac or up here in GV.
