Hi I need help creating a template in word.

Bascially I want to create a letter stating,

Based on your current financial standing,...(blah blah blah), you need to purchase (this amount).

What I want to know is how you would make a template so you only have fill in the area where it says "this amount" everytime you open the file. I also want lock the verbiage from being edited. So everytime you open the file all you would have to do is click on a little grey box representing "this amount" and fill it in. If that makes sense [Confused]

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Need ASAP.

thanks [patriot]

Open up a new memo template and highlight a one of the click and type section...then then copy and paste it into your document. Point on it and right click and choose toggle field codes...then change the click and type section to what ever you want it to say..."This Amount" I guess. The right click and select toggle field codes again. Hightlight the "This Amount" Field and go to format/shade and pick what ever shade you want. Go to File/Save as and save it as a template. let me know how it goes.
