I think you could pull $6K for it Gus.
$8.5K is a major stretch imho.

Doesn't it suck that we put in so much time and effort into these things and then end up parting with them for a loss.

Are you planning on selling and moving on to more important things, or are you planning on selling to buy something else?

Damn 6K. I figured it would be worth a little more than that. [Mad] [Frown] [Frown] [Frown]

Yeah, I'm planning on selling and moving on to more important things. I want to pay off some bills and buy a home soon.

I do think that $6K for a 124K mile fox that could use a paint job is pretty optimistic.

But you never know, all it takes is one person out there to fall in love with it and give your $8500 asking price.

Doesn't ever hurt to try. Good Luck!

Remember ebay is a great way to get national exposure if you can't sell it locally. I sold my last fox on ebay after I couldn't get my asking price locally.

If you really trying to match dollar for dollar (just about) then go the ebay route. I estimate 6k for it otherwise only because I know you can get some really clean ones for around that price. Put it out there at 8.5 and let them bargain from there. IMO one of the cleanest verts I have seen in quite sometime. Seeing yours make me love mine more.

thanks for the input guys [patriot] . Keep it coming. It sounds like I may try the autotrader/ebay route first, but I'm still not sure yet. [Frown]

Thanks [patriot]

i wish you would have went through with the sale a month or so ago. my uncle would have been all over it. i think $7,500 is a good starting price. look on craigslist, many are asking a ridiculous prices for a plain jane.

we ended up with a nice stock triple black for $4,600.

I think 6k might be hard because of the following reasons:

First, the limited amount of engine mods

Second, the suspension mods are nice but it's a convertible

Third, there are alot of really nice modded mustangs out there in the 6k+ range.

I do think it's a really nice drop [patriot] reminds me of my first drop

Wow looks like I might hold on to it. Selling it doesn't seem very promising at all. I'm fukkin depressed and confused [Frown] [Mad] [Frown] . Maybe I should wait till it becomes a classic and then sell it. I dont know maybe I'll just leave it in my moms garage for 20 years and come back to it. [Confused] . I dont know, maybe I'll I should just chalk this one up as a loss and get rid of it.

Note: I'm not trying to sell this to get another car, Just tired of dumping money into a car for minimal enjoyment.

ya, I hear you gus.

The big reason why many people start with foxes is because they are relatively affordable.

And that is what sucks about dumping in huge $$$ into a "budget" car that is usually cheap.
We both know that aftermarket parts do little for resale. You are also at a disadvantage because you have a GT vert, arguably the least desireable body style of the 87-93 era...

IMHO, for a fox to fetch $6K or more it needs to be CLEAN! Paint must be great, interior clean, clean title, no unusually high mileage, etc.

But like I said above... it only takes 1 person to fall in love with a particular car and end up paying above market value for it.

gus just keep the car and enjoy it. if you end up selling it, ull likely take a huge loss, which is usually the case selling cars.

Dude, just keep the car.
i really doubt you'll even get 6k.
not to be an ass or anything, but i was looking at stangs not long ago and there are a huge variety of really clean cars with a lot of mod and less mileage going for that price.
Keep it, enjoy it and stop putting money into it unless it's for personal gratification cause everything you put into it is money that's never gonna be recovered.
Good luck.
