(1) Defaces with graffiti or other inscribed material.
(2) Damages.
(3) Destroys.
Whenever a person violates this subdivision with respect to real property, vehicles, signs, fixtures, or furnishings belonging to any public entity, as defined by Section 811.2 of the Government Code, or the federal government, it shall be a permissive inference that the person neither owned the property nor had the permission of the owner to deface, damage, or destroy the property. needless to say.. fight it. get a lawyer. you'll get a copy of the police report filed against you explaining what's going on. Good luck.

I received something similar in the mail one day (only a lot worse!). I had no idea what it was for but it said I had to appear in court. Turned out my older brother used my identity when he was pulled over. He had a warrant out and he knew I was clean so he used my name and address so he wouldn't get arrested. Well he still got arrested that night but was released after a couple hours. That was a pain in the ass to clear myself from. All kinds of paperwork, photos, cops, and fingerprints needed to clear my name.
