Topic: so is there going to be an 06 or 07 Cobra??

does anyone know if the new cobra is really coming out? I know its not going to be the Shelby like the ones in the pictures, but will there be another cobra being released? If so, does anyone know when?

The Shelby IS the Cobra. Hardtop first, convertable to follow. 5.4 S/C. Supposed to be "More than 450HP".
Look for other historic nameplates to come out in limited production- like Boss.

i thought that they werent going to put the Shelby name on it because of issues with it costing too much. I heard that it was supposed to be under $40 grand without the Shelby name...but i may have heard wrong. Do you know when its supposed to be released?

They are still shooting for right at 40K MSRP. It is supposed to be an '06 model w/ the vert ready as an '07. Look for them this spring.

i don't know.. if someone pays 20k over msrp then they deserve to be ass raped.
Seriously..
Paying 5k over msrp with the terminator was too much.. 10k is just plain stupid.
wonder if the prices will drop like they did back in 04..

I'm sure they will. It will be a HUGE feeding frenzy in the beggining but then people will come to their senses.
Does anyone know how many Ford plans to produce? I heard production numbers will be limited.

yeah, we'll see though. If theyre really going to be as overpriced as people say, I may have to pass on it. Maybe an 05+ GT and supercharge it...who knows. I just know I want a beast of a stang!

What I read is It's coming out in 07 with around 475hp, with the 5.4L from the truck, supercharged. Its going to be kinda heavy though.
