Topic: just found out....

while i was taking off the A/C unit on my 00GT motor (not the new one) i see a small plate that says "Ford Re-Manufactured...date was 11/12/2002" hmmm looks like i have a rebuilt motor....also...seems like the #4 cylinder might be bad (the problem). so as i took off the intake manifold...i look to see that on one side its marked with 0's....and the pass side is marked "080" and "040" whatever the hell that means....in other words...whoever rebuilt or worked on this motor...is not teh win!

that is what i was guessing....but WHY would they put on the pass side 080 AND 040?? but the driver side #'s are 0??

have NO idea...i just found this out today while taking the motors accessories apart..ehh what does it matter now lol....
Dana you are right...must have been one of those SPECIAL 00GT motors they put out

oh and u could tell the motor was BURNING oil bad... ![[Frown]](frown.gif)
for some reason there was OIL around the intake ports ![[Confused]](confused.gif)

all in all im thinkin this motor was fugged up to begin with...
also would the dealership i had bought it from need to inform me that this motor was rebuilt??

they should have informed you and if they have a extended warrenty on the car they would cover it.

it will be finished on monday...took me a bit to get a motor...and then ordered the shorties for it...and plus my uncle can only come maybe once a week....so yea...not done...i should take pics of the old motor...to show u guys what it says...

that doesn't mean anything. I noticed oil residue around the intake ports when i was doing my cam swap 3 years ago.. Theres oil on my PCV valve also. I'm not worried about it, the only thing that doesn't work on it right now is the stupid EGR but i unplugged it haha. (on the Jeep)
