My car that has 72k miles: ![-](http://www.mustangmods.com/data/16763/1_043.jpg) ![-](http://www.mustangmods.com/data/16763/1_031.jpg)
98 Cobra w/ 39k miles:

My car is way more flashy, but those who know me know I change cars up so I guess its not a huge deal. I was thinking of keeping my seats/rims to swap on the cobta if they would work with it (I have 03 Cobra seats and 18" rims). Guy was asking 12k on the Cobra, I have no idea what my car is worth..
Thoughts??

He's asking way too much on the Cobra. 98's, low miles or otherwise, are barely going for 10k.

Good to know.. Last time I checked on 98 Cobras they seemed in the 12k-14k range and that was well over a year ago..

why do I want to get rid of my car?
I'm bored with it. I build cars/trucks, show them for a year and get rid of them for a new project.

Just keep your GT, drop in a T56, and a baby bottle.
That car has a lot more potential! Show it off at the track! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

It truly sounds like you have lost the love for your ride.
If you are more in this hobby for the build-up rather than the long term ownership, then by all means, get rid of the car and start a new buildup on a foundation that will be enjoyable and challenging for you.
I know quite a few people that will finish a project and sell off immediately. They get more pleasure in the challenge of creating a vision they have. Once it's done, it's history.
The alternative is, challenge yourself further. Fab up a Twin Turbo from scratch. Modify the inner fender to accept a 335 tire. blah blah blah, you get the idea.

You know...
I've had 4 Mustangs
#1) 67 coupe - I just hated how impractical it was as a daily driver, and I couldn't afford to have two cars at the time so I sold it off after two years.
#2) 87GT - Learned everything I know about cars on that thing. It took me about 5 years, but two things eventually happened. I wanted a car that was in better condition (was not willing to spend the money on a t-tops car to make that happen), and I simply got bored with it.
#3) 92LX AOD - Loved this thing. Great daily driver! But eventually the aod got too boring. I would have done a T5 conversion, but decided I was gonna act on my intense desire to get a coupe. Sold off after 3 years.
#4) 93 Coupe. Been about three years now and have no plans to sell anytime soon.
I think often times the impulsive buyers tend to get bored quickly. In my case, I have secretly wanted a coupe since 1999.

I love the cobra engines and the status symbol that goes with having the "Cobra" name on the car.. I was thinking if I got the vert I'd get it blown, put N20 on it and get a good tune so I could have my go fast needs met, then for the show needs polish up the upper half of the engine, maybe get some realistic fire or something fancy on it and some drag tires/rims and a roll bar.
The vert is still appealing to me since I now pretty much live in the big rig it be nice to have something enjoyable to take out when I get to come home, and not having a top seems like a good thing to me. I don't take my cars to the track, so being heavier isn't a huge deal to me, remember I put shit on my car for show purposes...
I guess I need to figure out what my car is worth as a starting point?? KBB is 10k for a stock GT with teh milage mine has, I'm not sure how much what I have added to tehcar ups teh value (if any)..
Oh yeah, Craig I already thought about it being black so I could fit in better over at the BMR lol

Theres a 98 Cobra up here in the paper for 8K with 64K miles or something.
I'd be interested to see you make a 98 Cobra into a show car though. I haven't seen any really clean show car 98s before.

I'm pretty sure I could do it based on my past record
Does anyone know if my 03 cobra seats (front & rear) would bolt up with this 98 Cobra??

He was at the Annual CAFords car show in 2004, so if you go to that photo album his pics should be there. He also still posts here, so maybe he'll post them up himself.
