my tail lights wont come on and my lights for the dash dont work either i checked the fuses and they are good wat other problem can there be need to fix asap please help

Hmm that stuff is all on the same same fuse. Maybe you should put a new one in anyways, and see what happens.

thanks will try that.does it matter if my fuses arnt the same amp as they should be it says 15 amp and theres a 20 in there

As long as it is the same or higher amp than it is supposed to be. But you dont want to put a really high amp fuse in something like a 10

i had the same exact problem with my 87, and paid like 300 to get it figured out. it was the headlight switch on the dash that was replaced and it worked again

that should fix the problem, for a while.... my brother had the same problem on his old '89GT. that switch kept going out every 6-8 months.
