Isted of going power adder i am deciding to increacse my displacment as of now. I will be purchasing a rebuilt 351 block with kieth black pistions. I will be using edel heads 6037's and the rest of my suporting cart of parts on my 302 as of right now.
1st. what additional parts am i going to need? The kit already has the swap pan. I will also get the 351 lower trick flow intake
2nd. Should i get my heads ported while my car is taken apart?
3rd. What kinda power changes should i see. Just a huge increase in torque right now im at 277 hp and 301 trq. I atleast want 350 hp. Is my goal resonable?
Willl i be spanking fools after the swap?

pan, balancer, motor mounts, headers, trans mount to match the motor mounts if you get drop mounts.
i rem sawson talking about using 302 parts on a 351 will make 302 power, so the 6037 heads might be a tad restrictive. a good porting job will help fix that! you might want to go with the bigger valves also assuming you have the 1.6/1.9 setup.
i see a lot of n/a 302s making 350 hp so i think it should be easier with the 351 for sure!
is it a roller cam 351 or flat-tappet?

With that combo, driving your car will feel like driving a tractor. You'll have a ton of low end torque, but you'll have nothing up top.

it's all in the cam selection and intake runner length i believe.
with a roller cam 351 you should have some good choices available.

what usually happens when you throw your 302 parts on a 351 is you get 351 torque with 302 HP.
IMHO, re-evaluate your head/intake/cam selection.
I might be doing a 351 eventually, and a budget setup is something like TFS Hi-ports, TFS-R intake, and a N-91 cam
other options, AFR-185s/Vic Jr's, TFS-R intake/Edlebrock Victor for 351 EFI intake, and a cam.
just some thoughts. I've looked into it a lot, and if you throw your current heads/cam/intake on a 302 you will be dissapointed.

Those heads won't really get you any power with that 351.
