yeah whatever it is and i know he has no obligation to say the reason but it would be nice to know what the source of the increase is. shiet..it could be as simple as i decided to increase the price cuz i felt like it or as complex as due to increased of cost to raise children in africa prices have to go up.

June 1! raising prices [patriot]

Really, you do not even indicate what the prices are being raised from?

Posted by SydeWaySix (Member # 3596) on :

These are the original prices stated in the Vendor Section:

Upper and Lower Torque boxes installed : $280 + $40 = $320 (new price)

Lower Torque Boxes instaleld: $150 + $40 = $190 (new price)

Full Length Subframe Connectors: $280 + $40 = $320 (new price)

These are still damn good deals for high quality PARTS AND LABOR! [patriot]

Probably because there's an appropriate forum for venders to advertise and this isn't it

Gets old reading these advertisements over and over in the general talk section

this should be in the vendors section lol. but hes cheap and probably busting his ass for peanuts, his love for cars overveiwed his bills an overhead probably. hes still super cheap, and im still taking my 66 to him for the subframes. owning running and managing a business is a lot, ive lost my family over this shit cause of stress alone. a big learning lesson for sure and he,s new. ive got patience for him cause he does have what it takes to make it.

Probably because people who actually get work done by FOD have nothing but good things to say about them. There's a reason why his shop is full and why the name keeps getting brought up. I'm saying this as one of their customers and not just as one of their friends.

Why not go to their shop and see what the hype is all about? Or better yet, if it's "not much" post up your fabrication work. All I can say is Iron50 uses a shitty camera so pictures do their work no justice at all. [Big Grin]

On the right side are torque boxes ordered online
On the left side are the ones we fabricate. Look at the difference in the welds and the thickness of the material

I know mikey maier and his work (phenomenal) and I took my mustang to FOD earlier this year. When I met them we put my car on the lift and they showed me EVERY WEAK POINT of the foxbody. Not only that they were very detailed about the cause and effect. These guys know structure. Big surprise, they both fabricated parts for bridges (that millions of people drive on every week). They replaced my entire floor pan from the rear seats to the spare tire, made new upper torque boxes, reinforced my lowers and did full length subframes.

And guess what? I paid about a 3rd of what I should have paid according to other fabricators who have seen my mustang since they did the work. They are real and they are honest. Which is a breath of fresh air after reading about all the shops that have done members dirty on this forum. Jon and Mitch are

... top notch fabricators. They didn't start yesterday and are trying to make a living. And even if their prices went up 40 bucks its still a hell of a deal for what u get (especially for us foxbody owners, just be lucky they have a flat rate because they go through some fucked up shit).

I'm happy to have dealt with FOD and if I ever need more fab work done they are fabricators of choice. Hope this helps clear things up.

To ANYONE not sure about going to these guys... They did my subframes in my 98 cobra, charged me the flat rate and did a great job. Even though it took extra work they did everything top notch. Plus the quality of materials was excellent... I can't wait to get back there for my torque boxes!

Johnathon is doing all the fabrication work for my 67 mustang. New floor pans, 6 point custom built roll cage. Torque boxes, and sub frame connectors. I am very pleased with his work and with his incredible prices it's a given that people will be hating. Even with the raise in prices he is still killing the competition.

I just wanted to do a follow up post. About 3 or 4 weeks ago I took my car back to FOD. He did my subframes about 4 months ago and it was time to do the torque boxes so I can start pounding on the car. I HATE leaving my car at places... I do most all my work on my own car because I just get scared living it someone for a few hours... let alone a few days. That being said I have felt very safe leaving my car for a few days at a time with FOD and know it's safe and locked up. The work I got done was great. Prices should go up because he was to cheap. $240... when he did the custom subframes and my crossmember made it no fun, $280 for the upper and lower boxes and it's a Flat rate.... He has to pull the rear end, the back seat and interior... that alone is a lot of labor, then all the welding and materials... GREAT FREAKING DEAL and Thank you again FOD!

Pictues at this link... just scroll through
