You'd be lucky if you even got glue. If I did the install... I'd just spray paint your stock headers shiney chrome & write "Bassani" with a Sharpie.

and put a sticker on it???? but, how will you make the stockers look like midlengths? use PVC piping to extend them down????

Don't worry 'bout it. It's a trade secret.

Chris, when I last called you for the Bassani ss x-pipes w/ cats , you said it was $589.00 w/o labor then. additional $150 for labor. How come it's more expensive now? Was the labor added back into the cost? I could get them for $522+tax & $95 for labor down here, its still cheaper than yours. No offense intended here just trying to do business with you. Thanks!

Not to be offensive back, but if you already knew the cost, why did you ask again? The pipe retails for 783.37. The 04 needs the 02 extenders which retail for 51.87. I also added tax into your total. There is no labor on parts, nor do we charge full retail on any of the parts. We have to mark up the exhaut part $20 to cover shipping, which is always 35-40 for an X pipe or Catback. No matter how you look at it, it's a good deal. Hope this clears up any confusion.

I ask for the price cause I have this experience with your shop. Prices changes all the time. I know what I'm looking at, I know about the 02 extenders ok, I already done my research and just trying to figure out where I can save some $$$$. As you could see you said free labor but you changed your cost again. Thanks for you feedback but I'm taking my business somewhere else. No offense also.

Prices change for several reasons.

#1-Special promotions by manufacturers
#2-Special promotions by us
#3-Change of costs to us from the manufacturer.
etc...

We by no means are trying to decieve you. When you where given a price at the time it was based on current prices from Bassani. We have since tried to make pricing easier for our customers by offering free installation with the purchase price of the product. Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a super low price and free installation.. if we did this we would be out of business.

Thanks for your feedback Mike. It's just the shop and store I'll be dealing with still comes out cheaper even with installation charges. I don't want to be rude and post their names here. But they have the 03-04 cobra Bassani ss x-pipes w/ cats for $522.50 + tx free s/h. Then a shop here in Concord will install it for $95.00. Sorry, just business talk here. So total installed will be $661.00 vs yours $692.80 w/ free labor.

Apex: I gave a call 2 week and talked to someone there asking about the bassani catback for a 1997 gt 5speed. The price they gave was between $400 range , but now it's higher price. $ alumm? And said he didn't even know about that price. [Confused]

WOW, prior to the new ownership of Apex I purchased a ss bassani X with cats for less than $400 for my 93 convertable from the previous owner. He even heald it for me until Ryan picked it up a month later and met up with me. I was interested in another for my 92 but didn't realize how much the last owner hooked me up. Now I wish I had purchased two.

I will say one thing though, these X pipes are GREAT and pass smog perfectly!

hidnn.o.s.,

The price of $400 is IMPOSSIBLE as we cannot even purchase a Stainless Steel Bassani X with cats for that amount. If he sold it to you for that price he sold it to you WAY below costs. The previous owner, Michael Fuller did alot of things which where bad including selling off inventory below costs WITHOUT PAYING THE VENDORS. It is easy to hook someone up when you don't pay your bills.

I DID purchase the pipe I said I did for under $400. I just was not aware at the time as to how good of a deal I got. I appreciated his help and holding it until I was in the area. I understand if he was not paying his vendors and clearly you have to. I was just asking because I was not aware of the deal I had gotten, figured it would be near the same price.

Yeah, that was me as I said on the phone. Like any other shop, I give out lots of quotes. If it's a real slow day, I may drop the price a bit lower than on a not-so-slow day. Same as this whole promotion. But those prices don't last for months. You have to act quick, or the sales are gone.
