Hey Guys,

Where are some good alignment shops in the bay area? I have MM coil overs, MM Bumpsteer Kit, MM Offset Control Arms, And MM CC. Most of these parts just got installed, so I need to get the car aligned asap.

Thanks!

Thanks. Ended up at Custom Alignment. Joe took good care of the car.

good to hear. Did you get corner balanced? Curious, do you track your car? If so, who do you run with and in what car? [patriot]

Kraus did a great job on a 4 wheel alignment and corner weighting for myself.I'm always satisfied with work done there.

I also hear great things about Custom Alignment but it's not as geographically desirable for me.

I only have coil overs in the front, so couldn't get it corner balanced. Joe said it would be a waste of money if I tried it on my car haha. I haven't gone to the track with it, YET! haha. In the middle of doing an eaton swap on this 99 cobra, so as soon as it's done (by summer I hope), I should be at a track sometime soon!

Kraus charged $272.70 for a corner weighting, bumpsteer adjustment and 4 wheel alignment( IRS equipped Mustang) about a year ago.

THAT is pretty damn good. I did give Kraus a call, unfortunately, Custom Alignment made much more sense for me since they're a few minutes away from where I live in Mountain View. I paid $260 just for the alignment--- no bumpsteer adjustment, no corner weighing. I knew it was the pricier one coming into it, but I still left happy with their service. Joe is a big Mustang enthusiast that really knows everything about their suspension.

The price I was charged does seem very competitive.

The entire process did not take very long, as most of the alignment and bumpsteer was already set and I dialed in my own ride height. They also did very minor corner weight adjustments.

But as usual for Kraus, I was very happy with the work and the service.

What kind of alignment specs did you guys end up with? Did you provide the shop with your own specs or did they recommend the settings per your explanation of how the car will be used?

I plan to visit Roger Kraus within the next month or so and really want him to dial in my setup the best he can for road racing/trackdays. I know that Maximum Motorsports can recommend alignment settings, but can Roger Kraus recommend his own? If I'm paying that much, I definitely don't want a "stock" alignment...

Ask what they recommend first but max caster, same on both sides (i.e. no cross-caster) and -2, maybe -2.25 deg camber, again same on both sides, is a good starting point.

Roger Krause is no longer aligning cars.

My go-to for any car is Hayward Alignments in Hayward on Jackson St. They do my OEM alignments and custom road-race alignments. They also do lifted trucks and super low VIP cars. Super fast and they even have a brand new flat Hunter alignment rack.
