Really trying to make it to the track this wednesday. Anyone know where I can buy a helmet locally?

Anyone have a spare? I wear a 7 1/4 cap.

I'll mostly be drifting at low psi and going to try different sports/events once its tuned.

Cycle Gear
5749 Pacheco Boulevard
Pacheco, CA 94553

Closest cycle gear to you.. Got a lot of helmets to choose from. you can get a new "707" brand helmet pretty cheap. Plus it will be approved for like 10 years.

If you want to be sure you'll have no problems with any tech inspections, you'll want an SA2005 or SA2010 car helmet.

Many clubs will accept motorcycle helmets (M2005 for example). The difference is SA helmets are required to be fire resistant. Any race group will require an SA helmet.

2005 helmets will be cheaper because they stopped making them if you can find one.

A 2005 helmet will be accepted by everyone through the year 2015 so you'll get at least 4 years out of it. A 2010 helmet will be good for 9 years. The year you buy the helmet doesn't matter, it's based on the date code (2005 or 2010).

Some clubs require a full face helmet. Just about everyone requires a full face helmet with a visor if you're in a convertible.
