Anyone going to the first SCCA autocross event at Oakland Coliseum this sunday? I know its Super Bowl Sunday, but you can just do "fun runs" early in the morning and get out before noon in time for the festivities!

This should be fun, but do you know how much the fee is? I'll probably be there, at least to watch. You going to run your Saleen?

From what I see on SCCA.com, it's pretty cheap at $15 for the weekend membership. I think I'm gonna run!

It's $15 for the weekend member ship plus $35 to run = $50 total. Definitely fun! You can go there and tell them you want to do "fun runs." This means you can run in any class at anytime, just as long as you work the corresponding run group. "Work" means you have to be on course and stay at an assigned location and pick up cones if anyone knocks them over.

Yup, I'm going o run the Saleen. SCCA events usually go 3 runs per group, but if theres less people, they may give you more runs.

Let me know if you guys come out...we can all run at the same time. I'm planning to do "fun runs" in the first session.

Scca events are usualy every month but the location changes. In march the AAS season starts and it's a lot better for us mustang guys.

AAS will have all their events at the alameda naval base and their courses are geared towards muscle cars, so less tight turns in comparison to scca courses which are primarily geared towards small sports cars.

I'll post up when the first aas event is...stay tuned!!!
