Anybody interested in going out. I know we are bringing my Steeda and the 03 Cobra out. Anyone else plan on going or want info on doing an open track.

Question #1 What?

What is NASA's HPDE, High Performance Driving Experience. What it is, is a chance for you to take your car out on one of many popular road courses, and get chance to blast around the track, getting driver training and experience to possibly one day go further and do true road racing. Its alot of fun, and for new people, they have an instructor ride with you a few times, help you learn braking point, acceleration points, when to turn in and out of corners, basically help improve your driving skills.

Question #2 Where?

Sears Point Raceway (Infineon Raceway), Sonoma, CA

Question #3 When?

Well, Sunday August 22. You would need to be at the track by 8 for either its an 8,8:30, or 9:00 driving meeting. I am not exactly sure what time its at, but more info is available on the website.

Since you didn't ask, cost for the event is $150, plus $30 membership fee if you don't have one. It sounds like alot, but in terms of track time. You get alot. You get about 1.5 hours of actual track time. Pretty darn good.

To sign up goto the event registration page. For more info goto either I'm new, or the HPDE pages.

If you need more info, just ask.
