If you had around $1000-$2000(excluding tires and labor since it will never go to a shop) to build a setup that is for autocross and Road Race what would it be?

I know theres a big difference but isnt rule of thumb a great Auot/X car makes a good Road Race car.

The car is a 89 Hatchback powered buy a 2.3T

I want everyones opinion.

Maybe try to get some used MM or griggs parts. Like used CCplates, used K member, used lca's. i know griggs has a RR/autocross package but its quite exp. if you could look around for used items. call em up see what parts are interchangable with thiers etc.
