Encountered a weird issue while driving...car was at temps (180-190) when i noticed the backlight from my mph gauge (0-40 mph on cluster portion only, so it was partial) was not lit, but the rest of the mph gauge was lit. (stock cluster btw). After i parked and the car cooled down, the backlight was normal (fully lit). what the hell could cause this?

Bad connection in the cluster or a failing bulb. There are many bulbs in the cluster.

Factory style bulbs last long enough. Spend the money for LEDS only if you want to change the color tint.
