So I bought a vortech v2 sc and noticed no difference, what can be the issue here? Bad supercharger? Any way to identify a sc that needs a rebuild?

Do you have a boost gauge? What's ur motor combo and cid. Also what pulley combo are you running?

Bad blow off Valve? Is there oil leaking out of supercharger?

It's a chp 306ci, ported e7 heads, typhoon upper and lower, stock cam with a complete vortech v2 with a anderson power pipe. I can't hear the blowoff valve go off after punching it, could that be the issue?

A leak between the blower outlet and BOV would cause this. Maybe a small tear in a coupler, or a coupler that has slightly slipped off the edge?

Pulley combo? And do you have a gauge?

You will not hear the Bosch bov that comes standard on the vortech.

Also what injectors or maf? Is it tuned or are you running an fmu? What's the timing set at? 91 octane?

Now are you sure this is the newer sc trim and not the old school a trim?

24s with maf. Yes running the vortech fmu, vortech timing box and kb boost a spark. Tuned by gtr high performance. Forgot to mention it has been sitting for 1 year. Not sure on pulley combo but, it's a big pulley. Should I upgrade to smaller one?

Get yourself a gauge. If it sat that long make sure you get some good plugs. Colder than stock and gap them about .035

You are probably running the 3.33 pulley, do not change the pulley or you will have to re-tune the car. If you change the plugs, pick up some Autolite copper (3942's I believe) don't get platinum or anything fancy.

He's using e7 heads. I would do an auto lite 23 or 24. Stocks are 25

Btw unless the impeller has been destroyed even a bad centrifugal will make boost.

The only thing to really go bad aside from catastrophic failure are some high speed bearings and seals.

Make sure the belt is torqued appropriately and has the proper tension.

Turned out to be bad spark plugs and the floor matt was preventing it to go in to wot. Thanks Cafords! pulls like a beast now [patriot]
