I just got a 89 notch it has a couple mods but on this car I'm gonna try to do it right. I know gears are a must but planning on adding supercharger so what's a good ratio and a cam, in my last hatch I had e303 but looking for something a little more aggressive. It already has intake upper and lower, short tubes exhaust. Any advice helps

Get some good flowing heads before You try to figure out the cam.

Definitely!

Get some subframe connectors if it doesn't have them already.

If they're used, make sure to have them re-surfaced before install regardless of condition.

Will the springs on those heads support the lift of the tfs cam with 1.7 if the answer is no get 1.6.

If I just add heads with some 1.7's with that act like a better cam without worrying about piston to valve clearance
