Okay can somebody please help me clear this up once and for all..
So I've got a 1 solenoid a4ld trans in my 87 4 banger coupe. The trans is shot and I'm looking to swap another trans in its place.
The 88-93 a4ld's have a 2 solenoid set up that won't work in an 87 because it won't shift to 3rd or 4th gear.
I'm told you can make the later 88-93 a4ld work, but how?
I've heard a couple different answers that counteract each other, and I'm not looking to try each possibility til I find which one really works. Any help is greatly appreciated!
