I have a 2003 mustang gt I've had it since December of last year and so far it's great I have 2 issues with it and they are an oil leak coming from the rear main and needs the tranny pulled out and a rod knock or knocking noise when the engine is hot and at 2-3 thousand rpm's I work for San Leandro ford but it's too expensive to get it fixed their even with employee discount anybody know a place or shop I can take it too to get it fixed at a reasonable price?? I'm in Hayward looking for a good near by shop

Welcome to the Site. [patriot]

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what you've described is going to be an engine replacement. There are a few shops that lurk here, so do your research and best of luck to you.

My advice? Buy a used engine from LKQ or another dismantler (with a warranty), get some friends together and swap it out. Oh, and make sure you use only 5w20 or 30 in the future...and leave the burnouts to John Force. [Wink]

I have a 4.6 2v for sale. 600$. Good motor no leaks or noises. Perfect oil press. I can do a install in the east bay. Pm me for prices. I'm a ford tech myself.

Yep, for the next fee hours it's still in the car running and driving. I have a video of it running with a manual oil press gauge on it too. Clean motor. Just needs a home in someone's car.
