Well I have a 306 all motor ..I was going to supercharge it but than I added up the cost for it and all the troubles that a sc causes Such as belt slipping, hoses ripping..etc.. I think ill just wait a build me a 331 all motor or even a 408 as the stroker kits cost about the same...

A stock block can handle up to about 450rwhp anything past that and your risking it, so I find it pointless to spend $1000 to $2000 on a 331 or 347 stroker kit and than spend another $3000 on sc and supporting mods to make 450rwhp when you can do that same power with a 306 sc and you didn't have to spend those $1000+ on a stroker kit, about 3 weeks ago this guy dynoed 412rwhp on a 306 hci vortech v1 sc on 11psi I believe and the car was not even dyno tuned. Just remember if you want to throw lots of boost your compression ratio should be at like 8:3 or something like that so you will need dish style pistons and heads with a 72cc or maybe 68cc...my heads are 58cc and I have flat top pistons and im like at 9:5:1 compression

Dont automatically do what I say just consider it and do as much research as possible so you can be sure you are going to be happy with whatever you build.

I like 331s better than 347s, but if you planning on 500hp I wouldn't do that with a stock block, you might want to build another 351 or get an aftermarket 302 block

Basically any aftermarket block will work, A4 block, R-block, Dart block, just don't get a B50 block not much stronger than stock.
