I m getting ready to install a 2001 Cobra IRS into my 93 Gt. What should I install/do before putting it into my Mustang. I will be doing the gears; from 3.27 to 3.73 and bearings. I have a 347 in it currently but not quite sure on on hp yet as I bought it this way. I will get it dyno'd and tuned soon. Thanks.

add reinforcement plates where the bolts go through the floor board

if you are bolting it instead of welding it, make sure you add some reinforcement plates.. I would also change the bushings to poly bushings while the rearend is out of the car to help with wheel hop.. Also a good idea to put an IRS brace if it doesnt already have one.. Make sure you have the 14mm irs subframe bolts.. Or if you dont want to make the holes bigger on your car, you can use your stock 12mm bolts and get the fox swap bushings from Maximum Motorsport.. Lastly, since its an IRS from a 01 cobra, get a Forward Torque brace.. You can get a stock 03/04 cobra one or get an aftermarket one, I like the Kenny Brown that one I have but theres a couple other companies that make them too..

Thank you for the advice. I planned on bushings gears and bearings. I am bolting it in and will do supports. Thanks again.
