Yes you need 4 cat midpipe to pass visual. If you have any aftermarket parts make sure you bring CARB #'s.

Would the magnaflow tru-x with 4 cats be coo or I would I have a better chance with a stock midpipe if I can find one thats good? Just trying to skip the headache an trying buy something new so I won't have to worry with any faulty used midpipes

Thanks again neight

The magnaflow 4 catted X-pipe will work, I got some two catted ones to pass but not for very long and it won't pass visual part of the smog.

buying a smog legal mid pipe is gonna be bread... This is why I've kept my stock one and didn't sell it for 2-300 bucks like everybody else has.

Yeah I was just reading up on the magnaflow tru-x and saw it's not legal in cali. Man this is some bullish, now that plan is out the window. Is there any aftermarket ones that's legal in cali.

Thanks again guys

I'm almost sure if you installed this Magnaflow, the smog folks wouldn't even bat an eye. It will probably pass smog with the sniffer as well as visual. However, no carb number and....

$600+ is a pretty hefty expense!!

I bought this one

but at the time I did not pay $1k and has a different EO#.

I'm curious if you can just take an aftermarket non catted mid pipe or x pipe and welding in universal ca compliant cats that have the correct EO # and call it a day.
