Did a bunch of searching, and i came up with the D34/78 Optima Yellowtop... but im unclear on if this will fit in the factory tray. I need to buy a new tray, cause mine is cracked, so im going to order that.. and i need a new battery as well. What is the part number everyone else is running? And will it fit with no modifications in the stock tray with the stock hold down? Thanks..

Optimas a crap....just get a diehard from sears. I've been through 3 optimas and another spiral cell in 4 yrs...not to mention all the others that have failed with family and friends.

Ive heard mixed reviews... i have used Yellowtops in the past and have had no issues. I have one in my Tundra right now...

What part number are you guys using? The D34/78? Pretty sure thats the correct one...

Best optima to get for your car is NONE!. What was once a great battery, is now owned by Exide and ar junk. Any optima made the past few years is garbage with a cool looking case!

I've had nothing but problems with Optima batteries. I went to Sears and bought a DieHard and haven't had any problems even when it sits for a few months.

My 1st Red Top Optima only lasted 9 yrs and 7 months [Smile] .
I'm on my 2nd Red Top now and it's lasted 3 yrs without any problems. My car is never started or driven from Nov till March and both Red tops started it the first time and every time after sitting that long.
Optima Red Top .... [worship] [worship] [worship]
