the stock gas tank holds 20 gallons in the viii model, so you are averaging 10 miles per gallon... Also higher octane burns faster than lower octane.

the stop and go in the city is what is causing the poor gas mileage. 10 to the gallon in the city is about right

Lol 18.5 gallons 91 burns slower than 87. Less volatility.. [Wink]

that means you are getting less than 10 miles to the gallon. And u are right it does burn slighly slower but higher octane has a faster reacting flashpoint then lower octane. [Razz]

that should get in the high teens low twentys. check for a pluged exhaust and new motor dosent mean good one, those have cylynder head problems. they might not misfire but have leakdown through the exhaust valves from burned seats. a misfire may not show up but poor fuel economy will.

well are you heavy footed ?

i'll burn 1/2 tank at the dragstrip

1/4 mile at a time.... for 5 miles

seems crazy...but it is what it is
