The Ford lettered cams are junk, mainly because they are old technology. there is much better/more advanced and aggressive cam designs that you can choose from that will still pass the sniffer and still make better power than the ford cams. hitech, isky, AFM, TFS etc...

F cam has been proven to 1,000 hp but yes there are WAY better alternatives, combo dependent.

I shoulda gave more info, not trying to be the fastest. rebuilt 306, low comp, old school paxton wit minimal boost, tf intake, gt40s, maybe 30lbers, and other minor mods. Maybe 400 at the crank is what im aiming for. Would like to not go a custom , trying to stay under budget and may change charger and heads in the future.

When re-building my motor this was a fairly similar goal. I have a rebuilt 302, stock comp, paxton sn2000 8psi, holley systemax intake, tfs tw heads, 42lbers, with full bolt ons otherwise. 400+ to the tires is what I'm aiming for.

I went with an F Cam on Turbo50's recommendation. It's a cam proven to work well with boost and I picked up one with low miles for a little over $100. I know there are lots of better cams, but my car is a daily driver that will only see the track 3-5 times a year at most, so not much reason to go all out on everything. Especially if you consider I'm still on the stock E block.

More HP just means more tire spin on the street since I currently run street tires. As of right now I can be in 3rd gear, stab the throttle and send the tires spinning and I only have 3.27's.
