I just put in the alternator form 50resto (brand new) along with the 4 gauge wiring kit (brand new). I believe its wired right, it runs and drives with no real issues, but i notice my lights dim just a little when the idle goes up and down (i need to clean the MAF, adjust TPS, etc..)

I have not got the chance to test the volts at the battery yet, no access to a multimeter...just wondering, the car wouldnt start if it was wired wrong, right?

Right, the battery provides the starter with current to turn the engine . You need a multi meter though to double check your charging system. Check belt tension too.

new battery, and i just gave in and bought a multimeter today..volts were between 13.9 and 14.2 so im good as far as the install...i guess i need to do a major idle reset/cleaning? i will put in a new IAC motor and see if it gets any better, thanks!
