Mileage? It may be time to invest in a rebuild and that's always a good idea when there's doubt. But check its oil level of its the self contained system and if it takes a feed line I'm not sure what to say. Do some research bro that's always the best bet

Turn the pulley on the supercharger by hand and see if it sounds like something grinding if it is bearings are bad

If it is in good functioning order....

You should be able to spin the pulley on the supercharger (by hand), which should spin the impeller. And it should spin freely, without any play- side to side or up or down.

If it spins freely, youre in good shape and do not need it to be rebuilt.

Also check the end play on the shaft. If you need to rebuilt I suggest going through superchargersonline.com. When I had my vortech rebuilt and upgraded they acted as a middle man to vortech and cut me a better deal than vortech direct as well as cut off a bunch of the shipping cost.

Are you talking about a Novi2000 or a Paxton Sn2000? If its the older sn models they are hard to spin.

Those old paxtons were hard to spin but I don't know about the clicking noise, might want to have it checked or rebuilt.

it sounds like its in rough shape, it shouldnt be making a clicking noise. take it apart to see whats going on inside.
