Hi I have a 97 cobra it cranks but won't start oh the theft light is flashing pls help thanks

sounds like the PATS (passive anti theft system) is not allowing you to start the car.

if it's cranking but not firing the chip in the key may have fallen out, or another part of the system could be damaged. Sometimes a low battery can cause this too so try charging / jumping it.

I had the same problem. Once I pulled my 8yr old auto logic chip from the ECU, my problem went away. I would also suggest you try your spare key.
