so to you body and paint guys...my car color is called "rio red" by most and the paint code for my car is "e8" which when i looked it up came out to vermillion red...is there a difference? what color is my car? i think V.R. is darker...not sure any help would be appriciated..

Thats Rio red. My brother has a Rio red stang and that's the exact same color he has.

well before i got the car my buddy had the rear QP's repainted cause they got scratched but they are darker than the rest of the car..cant really notice during the day but you can really notice at night..i just read that 96 and up e8 paint code is V.R. so if i go to get paint do i need to specify that its a 95?

Peter take that loud bucket tithe paint supply tell them you need code e8 paint for your 1995 for mustang. Make sure you tell them that it's rio red

Peter, you and my boy Mario (1quick302) make me want long tubes but from a mechanics point of view they make it a bitch to work on anything under the car. Just like a shaved engine bay. Really sexy till you get dead wires and it's all tucked away lol

Just take your car to any paint store they will Snap a pic for free ass longest u tell them ur going to buy the paint their evendo your not just get a paint estimate for 1 pint they will tell u just take them the gas cap door.

Peter.. look in the first picture and look at the color difference in the 1/4 panel and the door. I think the E8 color code is the paint on the 1/4 panel. Pretty sure that cars been painted once before.

both 1/4 panels have been painted before i heard with rio red you have to tint the clear coat cause it comes out super bright red..so if you go to repaint a panel and the clear coat isnt tinted the exact same as it was then it will come out darker like the 1/4 panel
