Do i need to drain the oil when replacing the low oil level sensor or can i change it with the oil still in the drain pan?

For a 91 GT

You can change it without draining the oil.

i dont want oil all over the place, could i just jack the car up higher on the driver side so the oil will be more on the pass side of the oil pan?

Damn I just reread it, I thought you where talking about the oil sending unit. Yes you will need to drain some oil out to change the low oil level sensor.

Did you just change the oil with new synthetic?...Just change the oil again...

Otherwise, the (ss396Chevelle)vacuum trick works pretty well [patriot]
