I know all the physical things that make up a gts and this car posses those no fin grey cloth no lights in visors no fog lites it does have power windows but this was an available upgrade.I really want to know how i can verify by the vin. no slo cobra your not being a dick just ignorant. the GTS was only made in 95 in 96-98 they werent gts they were the 248a package. the 95 gts is just a very unique car thats it the one that i have found if it proves to be a gts there were only 96 of them made in that color and this particular car is gorgeous.

Actually, I have been looking for one for some time now. They have a small but extremely loyal following. manual windows, fog light delete and cloth seats are a sure fire way of identifying the car. It's a fairly rare package. They weigh about 150 lbs less than a GT. I had a 96 and I miss the hell out of it.

yes the GTS is a no option car. the one i have found has cloth interior no fog lights no spoiler 16" 5 spoke pony style wheels no lights in the visors, but it does have power windows and cruise controll I feel very stronglly that is for sure a gts but the only way to know for sure is by VIN verification but no one knows what numbers or letters to look for and yes the gts is fairly rare considering it was only produced for one year. after i buy this one and restore it to mint condition it will be for sale!

why would you miss a car that is slow and has no heat power anything, is cold in the winter, and not as "nice" as a GT or Cobra?

Sounds worst than a rental car.

"rare or unique" doesn't always mean better or higher priced....

pintos and gremlins are "rare and unique" but you don't see me jumping out to grab one of those either...

I would'nt want to take a step down from what I already have...

Its 2012...not 1982, whats the point of buying a "rare and unique" powerless options car? Thats cool if you buy it, have fun reaching over to the passenger side to roll down the window when you find a hot hooker...

And no im not tryin to screw up your post, I just giving my opnion...so dont get offended...

6300+ made bro it aint rare sorry. oh you say its different because of the color? big deal. those cars are not worth much if any more than a normal gt. You stated you were buying it to restore and sell, for what to break even?... and you called me ignorant...lmao

sure there were 6000+ made but a vast majority of that number has been raped and pillaged beyond recognition kinda like every f-in fox body out there its very hard to find a good clean unmolested 5.0 anymore and the ones that are left fetch top dollar! so just because a gts doesnt turn you on doesnt mean that theres not guys out there searching for one of these. every time i take my 38,000 mile original bone stock coupe out for a drive i get guys leaving me there numbers that want to buy her if i sold it i bet i could fetch $15000

I miss it because it is unique. Those who did order the GTS package did so because it was a throw back to the days when you could order a striped down car from the factory. Lighter weight was a benefit as well as the much lower cost. Take that cash and put into mods. FWIW they did have heaters.

I'm probably wrong on this but, any chance of Ford actually being able to tell you what's the identifying "code" to tell if it is a Legit gts or not? I'm probably wrong but worth a shot!
