Wanted to know if it was worth replacing many people change the struts and shocks but not really the quads. Any opinions? Is it really worth replacing?

That's what I'm thinking, I hear people removing them only when they upgrade lower control arms

theyre only for helping to prevent wheel hop. if you drive casually & dont burn a lot of rubber you can remove them regardless of what lower control arms you have.

if you replace both U/L control arms AND keep the quad shock, is there any advantages in that? or just remove the quad shock all together?

Quad shock is there to help quell wheel hop. Wheel hop jackhammers the torque boxes. jack hammered torque boxes end up failing.

Recommendation:
Remove factory rear control arms (upper and lower)
Install Maximum Motorsports lowers and Ford racing uppers
Ditch the quad shocks
HUGE improvement !!!!

I installed Hotchkis Control arms and didnt reinstall the quads, no problems at all, it looks cleaner and I can fit wider rims.

One of the biggest improvements was to take out the rubber bushings in the eyes of the pumpkin. I debated over spherical or poly ended up with red poly hard bushing never been happier.
