So I go to start it and it just cranks but won't fire up only Wen it wants to

When I insert the key and turn it to on the theft light glows bright and stays lit and if I try to start it. It just cranks bit won't turn over

I've read up on it and some say my key needs to be reprogramed

Lmk if u have info oh by the way its a 03 mustang gt 5 speed

And its stock keyless entry and its not tuned I'm Sooo lost lol

I'd look elsewhere, the theft light will flash rapidly while cranking if there is a PATS mismatch.

fuel pressure, spark plugs, cop's, etc.

You need to pull the code. if you were in sac area I could fix ya up. Could be keys, pats module or a bad recorder in the colum. I have an ids, so I can program it for ya. But you may be able to find someone closer.

All this started after I put my alternator back in the car I rebuilt it did I do something wrong lol my volt gauge is hella low when the car is on....????????

It starts so re=programing the key will do no good. If i would have seen this earlier I could have brought my IDS, I will be in Modesto all weekend :/

I had this exact problem, it also started when my battery drained. My car is also a garage queen. what finally fixed mine was pulling my old autologic chip that had a custom tune. It starts fine now, but I still need to get a new tune.

I already told you on facebook! lol. Its usually the receiver, its a black ring that snaps on the column around the ignition lock they start crapping out and wont see the key sometimes. It could be other things too but that's the only common thing I have seen.
